Woohoo! I’m so excited to welcome you to the Multiply Your Riffs series. I’m gonna show you a ton of ways you can expand your musical vocabulary starting from whatever you already know. Whether you’re afraid of improvising, or you’re getting “stuck” and stale with your soloing, these simple strategies will help you find new territory to explore on your journey to epic bass playing.
I would guess that almost every high-level professional musician (especially improvisers) uses most or all of these strategies. My hope as you go through this series of six lessons is that you’ll have a few “wow I never thought to do that!” lightbulb moments. Once you know these tools, you’ll be able to use them to multiply everything you know many many times.
I urge you to take what you learn in these bite-size lessons and apply it to your own favorite riffs, licks, fills, and bass lines. If you only learn the examples I use in the videos, you’ll be missing out on most of the value from these lessons.
